Overview
‘Glimpse of Buddhism’ will give you the chance to experience the spirituality and essence of Buddhism. According to the traditions of Buddhism, it believed that the lord Buddha lived and taught in the northeastern part of the India during the 6th and 4th centuries BCE. During this tour you will explore the places which were belongs to the life of Buddha. You will get the chance to explore the major stupas, Buddhist temples as monasteries as well. The duration of the tour is 08 nights and 09 days, covering the places such as Bodhgaya, Dungeshwari Caves, Rajgir, Nalanda, Patna, Vaishali, Kesaria, Kusinagar, Kapilvastu, Lumbini, Sravasti and Varanasi.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Bodhgaya
Upon arrival at Bodhgaya railway station/Airport, meet and check-in to Hotel. After Lunch, we drive to visit Lord Buddha Temple. Visit other sightseeing places Sita Kund, Janki temple, Bodhi Tree. Night stay at Hotel in Bodhgaya.
Day 2: Bodhgaya- Dungeshwari Caves- Gaya- Bodhgaya (By Road-12 Kilometers Approx)
Today after breakfast, drive to Gaya. On the way vist Dungeshwari cave temples are also known as the Mahakala caves. These are the ancient caves, it believed that Lord Buddha underwent years of self-mortification before descending to Bodhgaya. It is one of the most important pilgrim place for Buddhist.
Latter Visit Vishnupad Temple is sacred among Hindus and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Back to Bodhgaya.
Overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 3: Bodhgaya- Rajgir (By Road-65 Kilometers Approx.) – Nalanda (By Road-12 Kilometers Approx) – Patna (By Road-90 Kilometers Approx)
After breakfast, proceed to Rajgir. En-route visit Gridhakuta , it is a hill located at Rajgir, Bihar where Lord Buddha carried out many dialogues with his disciples after he achieved enlightenment, apart from this also visit World Peace Stupa, Venuvanaram and Bimbisar Prison.
After visiting these places, resume drive to Nalanda, here visit ruins of world ancient University. It was one of the oldest Universities of the World and International Centre for Buddhist Studies.
After visit proceed to Patna. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel.

Day 4: Patna – Vaishali (By Road-50 Kilometers approx) – Kesariya (By Road-108 Kilometers)- Kushinagar (By Road-250 Kilometers approx)
After breakfast drive to Vaishali. Visit Ashokan Pillar, it was built by emperor Ashoka. It is made of a highly polished single piece of red sandstone, surmounted by a bell shaped capital. Then visit Bawan Pokhar Temple, it is an ancient temple which was established built in period of Pala. Apart from this you will also visit the Budha Stupa-I, it is built by the King Ashoka. It is one of the largest stupa in India.
Latter drive to Kesaria and then to Kusinagar.
Overnight stay at Hotel in Kusinagar.
Day 5: Kusinagar- Kapilvastu - Lumbini (By Road-180 Kilometers)
Today after having an early breakfast, proceed to visit Mahaparinirvana Temple, it is one of the holiest place in Buddhism, where Lord Buddha attained Parinirvana after his death. Then visit Rambhar Stupa it is the cremation site of Lord Buddha and Japan Temple.
Latter drive toward Lumbini .En-route visit Kapilvastu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is believed to be the birthplace of Gautama Buddha On arrival in Lumbini, check in at hotel.
Overnight stay at hotel in Lumbini.
Day 6: Lumbini - Sravasti (By Road-225 Kilometers approx)
After breakfast, proceed to visit Seavasti, who is believed to have spent 24 Chaturmases here. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Rest day free at leisure. Overnight stay at Sravasti.
Day 7: Sravasti – Varanasi (By Road-300 Kilometers approx)
Today after having an early breakfast, proceed for visit Saheth (Jetvanaram) and Maheth (Angulimal Caves). Latter drive toward Varanasi.
Upon arrival in Varanasi, check-in to hotel. Take res for a while, in the evening, enjoy the boat ride on the River Ganges. Also enjoy the enjoy Ganga Aarti.
Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 8: Varanasi
Today early morning enjoy the boating on the river Ganges. After boating, return back to the hotel and have your breakfast.
After breakfast, proceed to visit Sarnath, the ancient Buddhist town. The places you will explore here include the Stupa, Buddhist Temple and the Museum. Rest day is free at leisure.
Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 9: Varanasi (Departure)
Today after breakfast, transfer to the airport/Railway station to board flight/ train for your onward journey.
