‘The Tribal Journey of Chhattisgarh and Orissa’ tour gives you the chance to understand the tribal life and major attractions of Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Chhattisgarh is known for cultural heritage, attractive natural diversity and its rich tribal culture. It’s 10th largest state in India. This beautiful state is also known as “The Rice Bowl of India”. The state was established on 1 November 2000.During this tour you will understand the culture and traditions and life style of Tribals of the region. About 41.33% of its area of the state is covered with lush green forest which is one of the richest bio-diversity areas of the country. It is also the home of various ancient monuments, rare wildlife, Buddhist sites, waterfalls, caves, rock paintings and hill plateaus, but most of these attractions are untouched and unexplored.
Located on the eastern coast of India, Odisha is known for its beautiful locations, exotic cultures and heritage. Bhubaneswar is the capital of Odisha, which is laso known as the 'city of temples'. The history of the city is very rich that is dated back over 2000 years. Puri is one of the most popular pilgrim destination for Hindus, sitauted at 60 kilometers south of the state capital of Bhubaneswar, Bhubneshwer is also known as Jagannath Puri as Jagannath Temple located in the city. It is one of the original Char Dham pilgrimage sites for Hindus.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Raipur
On arrival at Raipur Airport, our representative will greet and welcome you with our Indian tradition after your arrival. After welcome, proceed to the hotel. Check into your accommodation. Rest day is free at leisure.
Overnight at Jagdalpur
Day 02: Raipur – Jagdalpur (By Road-315 Kilometers)
Have your breakfast and check out from the hotel and then drive to Jagdalpur. It will take 3-4hrs approx. After reaching Jagdalpur, check into your accommodation and relax. Then proceed for the local sightseeing of Jagdalpur. Later enjoy the local Bison-Horn Maria tribe and its local dance performances. After the end of the tour, return back to the hotel and relax.

Day 03: Jagdalpur – Kanger Valley Park – Jagdalpur (Excursion Tour)
Have your breakfast and then proceed for the Kanger Valley National Park for an excursion tour. It will take 1 hr approx. After reaching enjoy the national park and also the Tirathgarh Waterfalls. Then in the afternoon, take your lunch in a hotel and relax. After the end of the tour, return back to the Jagdalpur and relax. In the evening, you can go for shopping at the local handicraft market.

Day 04: Jagdalpur – Kanker (By Road-240 Kilometers)
Have your breakfast and then check out from the hotel and then drive to Kanker. En route visit the sightseeing of Baligaonpara and the surrounding villages of Muria tribes, craft villages near Kondagaon. Then continue drive to Kanker. It will take 6hrs approx. After reaching Kanker, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, free for leisure.

Day 05: Kanker – Kawardha (By Road-280 Kilometers)
Have your breakfast and then check out from the hotel and then drive to Kawardha. It will take 7hrs approx. En route visit the temples in Rajim. After that take your lunch in a hotel and then continue drive to Kawardha. After reaching Kawardha, explore the Gond and Baiga tribes’ village and then return back to the hotel and relax. In the evening, free for leisure.

Day 06: Kawardha - Bhoramdeo Temple – Kawardha (By Road-50 Kilometers)
Have your breakfast and then proceed for Bhoramdeo Temple (Lord Shiva), and also visit the Madwa Mahal nearby the place and then take your lunch in a hotel and relax. After that return back to the hotel and relax. In the evening, free for leisure.

Day 07: Kawardha – Raipur (By Road-100 Kilometers) - Bhubaneswar (By flight)
Today after having an early breakfast, transfer to the Raipur airport to board the fight to Bhubaneshwar. On your arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway Station, meet our representative and transferred to the hotel. Popularly known as the "Temple City of India", this city is the Holy land of almost 500 temples. Bhubaneswar is the capital of Orissa. It is one of the most historical city of India, the history of the town is dated back to the over 3,000 years. It is the home of various ancient temples along with many historical architectures and sites.
Check in to your pre booked hotel. After freshen up, proceed to visit the temples including Champakesvara Siva Temple, Aisanyesvara Siva Temple, Rajarani Temple and Bharati Matha etc. Return to your hotel, have your dinner and stay overnight.
Day 08: Bhubaneswar
After the breakfast, proceed to visit Parashurameshwara temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Later, visit the Orissa State Museum and the Museum of Tribal Arts and Artefacts, featuring a great collection of Dress, ornaments, weapons, household implements and musical instruments being used by the tribal’s of Orissa.
Stay the night in the hotel.
Day 09: Bhubaneswar - Lalitgiri (By Road-84 kilometers) – Ratnagiri (By Road-13 Kilometers)- Udaygiri (By Road- 290 Kilometers)- Bhubaneswar (By Road-248 Kilometers)
Today after having an early morning breakfast, proceed to visit the Lalitgiri, Ratnagiri which are the Buddhists excavation sites. The existence of these sites dates back to 1st century A.D. At Lalitgiri, there is a complex of Buddhist huge sculptures, engraved Stupas, and monasteries. Ratnagiri, houses the various Buddhist sculptures, made with multi-coloured stones, are found here.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Bhubaneswa Via Khandagiri and Udayagiri – Puri (By Road-63 Kilometers)
After having an early breakfast, proceed to visit Jain Cave, which is located on the twin hills of Khandagiri and Udayagiri. This cave was built in 2nd century BC - 1st century AD during the Chedi dynasty.
After visiting the Jain cave, drive to Puri. It is one of the most historical city of Orissa, which is located on the Bay of Bengal. It is also known as Jagannath Puri, which is named after the 11th-century Jagannath Temple. It is the holiest pilgrim site for Hindus, which comes under Char Dham. Apart from this this town is also offers the various historic antiquities, architectural grandeur and stunning beauty of the beaches.
On arrival at Puri, check in to your pre booked hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. In the evening visit the long and quiet beach of Puri. You can pick up souvenirs from the numerous stalls lined up around the beach.

Day 11: Puri
After breakfast, proceed to Konark Sun Temple, which is located at the distance of about 35 kilometres from Puri . It is a World Heritage Site, which was built in the 13th century, now mostly in ruins. The collection of its sculptures is housed in the Sun Temple Museum. This museum is managed by Archaeological Survey of India.
After visiting the sun temple, proceed to visit Jagannath temple. This is a very popular temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath. Also visit the sunny beach at Puri. This beach is considered as one of the finest in the world. Later, return to the hotel.

Day 12: Puri – Gopalpur (By Road-176 Kilometers)
Post breakfast, drive to Gopalpur on Sea and Chilka Lake. This is the one of the beautiful beaches of Orissa. Later, visit Chilka Lake, which is divided into an outer channel with a narrow neck. This channel leads into the sea and on the other hand, the main body of the lake has a muddy bottom plentiful in organic matter.
Upon arrival at Gopalpur on Sea. Check in to your pre- booked hotel. After freshen up, explore the beautiful surroundings, enjoying street food and interact with the locals, so that you can understand the culture and traditions of the region. Return to your hotel.

Day 13: Gopalpur – Rayagada (By Road-253 Kilometers)
After breakfast, drive to Rayagada. It is one the most beautiful place, which offers the meadows, forests, waterfalls and terraced valleys. It is also the home of various primitive tribal groups.
On reaching Rayagada, check in your hotel. Take a rest for a while, then proceed to visit some major temples of the place such as Laxminarayan temple, Maa Markama Temple, then proceed to visit Chatikona and Desia Kondh villages where you may witness the tribal culture. Understand their customs and traditions, and enjoy the hospitality offers by the villagers.
Later, return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 14: Rayagada – Bisamkatak – Rayagada (By Road-47 Kilometers)
Today after having an early breakfast, drive to Bisamkatak. It is another tribal village, which is popular for its tribal craftsmanship. Here visit the weekly market of Bissamkatak, buy some handicraft product such as Donoria Kondha
ornamental and other. Explore the culture and tradition of the tribal life here and understand their day to day life.
Return to the hotel in the evening and have dinner.

Day 15: Rayagada – Chatikona (By Road-40 Kilometers) – Jeypore (By Road-170 Kilometers)
Post breakfast, drive straight to Chatikona. On reaching Chatikona, visit the weekly market where these tribal mix with other communities. Explore the traditional artefacts and purchase them as souvenirs. Later proceed to Jeypore. It is the perfect destination for the nature lovers to explore. It is the largest town after Bramhapur of south Odisha. This commercial hub of Koraput district, which offers the various attractions such as waterfalls, thick forest and exotic wildlife.
Upon arrival check in at your pre booked hotel. Take rest for a while. Rest day is free at leisure, you may explore the nearby places, enjoy the local foods etc.

Day 16: Jeypore – Onkudelli – Jeypore (By Road-65 Kilometers)
Post breakfast, drive to Onukudelli. Explore the tribal markets and life of Orissa. Here is you will visit some of the interesting markets such as Bonda, Gadaba and Didayee. These are the popular for the handmade items, made by the local tribes, purchase the handicrafts as souvenirs.
In the evening, drive back to the hotel, on the way visit the Ollar Gadaba village which is the tribal village.Later, proceed to the hotel, have dinner.

Day 17: Jeypore – Gupteswar – Jeypore (By Road-59 Kilometers)
Early morning leave for excursion to Gupteswar visiting Dharua Gond tribal villages of Orissa, a famous cave temple village dedicated to Lord Shiva. Gupteswar is located at the height of 500 meters above the sea level. Later visit at a pottery village
while driving back towards Jeypore.
Stay the night in Jeypore.
Day 18: Jeypore – Visakhapatnam (By Road- 231 Kilometers)
After having an early breakfast, proceed to Visakhapatnam by road. Visakhapatnam, is also known as Vizag, it is the second largest city in Andhra Pradesh. Located on the Eastern Ghats, it overlooks the Bay of Bangal, and bound by hills. Its harbour became a port after it was colonized by the Dutch and later the British. The city is also the headquarters for Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy.
Arrive in Vishakapatnam by evening and check in at the hotel. Take a rest, then proceed to visit the sightseeing tour of Visakhapatnam covering Borra Caves, War memorial, Dolphin's Nose, Gangavaram beach and Kailasa Giri.
By evening, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 19: Visakhapatnam (Departure)
In the morning, take a short trip to Vishakhapatnam. Later, you will be transferred to the airport to board flight for onward destination.
