Rapid Golden Triangle I had a wonderful experience in Golden Triangle Tour of North India! The trip was great! Everything worked very well The travel itself was well elaborated, the hotels were very well equilibration, from the more basic ones to the luxury resorts as the Dune or the Taj Malabar in Cochin. A very special experience was the trip on the boat (Spice Coast Cruises) -> simply great!

Overview

‘Shantiniketan Weekend Getaway’ will give you the chance to explore Shantiniketan which is one of the most popular destination and a university town in West Bengal. Often called as Abode of Rabindranath Tagore, it is renowned for its association with Nobel Laureate Sri Rabindranath Tagore, who reshaped Bengali literature and music, as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. With his vision, this small city had been converted to University Town. It is not only popular amongst students but the inspirational serenity of the place fascinates many tourists across the world, which offers many other significant cultural and heritage features.

Itinerary

Day 01: Kolkata – Shantiniketan (By Road- 215kms/05hrs 3min)

Pick up from advised location in Kolkata, proceed to Shantiniketan. Upon arrival at Shantiniketan, check in to your pre booked hotel. Take a rest for a while, then proceed to visit Amar Kutir. Here you can purchase handicrafts and artefacts. Return back to the hotel in the evening.

Day 02: Shantiniketan

Today after breakfast, proceed to explore the major attractions of Shantiniketan such as Visva Bharati University, Tagore's Ashrama, Santiniketan, Sriniketan, Kala Bhavana, Sangeet Bhavan, Santiniketan, Chhatimtala and Vidya Bhavan.

Return back to the hotel in the evening.

Day 03: Shantiniketan - Kolkata (By Road- 215kms/05hrs 3min)

Today is the last day of the tour. After breakfast, proceed to Kolkata for your onward destination.
