Overview
‘Short Escape to Pondicherry’ will give you the chance to explore Puducherry. Formerly called Pondicherry, which is one of the most popular tourist city in Indian union territory of Puducherry. It is the regional capital and largest city in this region. The city is renowned for its three lined avenues, painted colonial buildings and sea breeze. In 1974, the French built a base here. During the tour explore the major attractions of Pondicherry such as the coastline, which spread over 32 Kilometres, palm-fringed beaches here. Also visit Pondicherry Museum and the Nineteenth Century Light House, Sacred Heart Church, the Rai Niwas and Sri Aurobindo Ashram.
Itinerary
Day 01: Chennai – Pondicherry (By Road- 150 Kms)
Morning pick-up from advised location/Airport in Chennai and drive to Pondicherry. Upon reaching Pondicherry, check-in to your pre booked hotel, after freshen up, and embark on a sightseeing tour of Pondicherry including Pondicherry Museum and the Nineteenth Century Light House. In the evening return to the hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Pondicherry
Post breakfast, proceed for sightseeing in Pondicherry. The attractions that you visit today include the Sacred Heart Church, the Rai Niwas and Sri Aurobindo Ashram.
The other attraction, Raj Niwas, is the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Pondicherry. The last attraction of the day is Sri Aurobindo Ashram, founded by Sri Aurobindo, way back in the year 1926. This spiritual community is flocked by a huge number of visitors all-round the year. Also explore Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is an oriental specimen of Gothic style of architecture.

Day 03: Pondicherry – Chennai (By Road- 150 Kms)
Today is the last day of the tour. After breakfast drive back to Chennai. On arrival in Chennai transfer to Airport/railway station for onwards destination.
