Overview
Lansdowne is small quaint and serene hill station of Uttarakhand. This beautiful town is situated in Pauri Garhwal district at an elevation of about 5,686 feet from the sea level is a green hill with lots of varied exotic fauna and flora that makes it one of the most amazing hill station. Lansdowne is surrounded by lush green forest of thick oak and blue pine. This beautiful town is named after the then Viceroy of India, Lord Lansdowne who came here in 1884.It has been also the home to the Garhwal Rifles, since 1884, which is still preserved and maintained well. ‘Short Escape to Lansdowne’ will give you the chance to explore the major attractions of this place such as The Garhwal Rifles Regimental War Memorial, Regimental Museum along with that also visit some famous Churches and Hawaghar etc.
Itinerary
Day 01: Delhi- Lansdowne (By Road- 290 Kms/ 06.30 Hrs drive)
Early morning drive to Lansdowne, one of the most beautiful destination of Uttarkhand, located about 290 kilometres from Delhi. Upon arrival check in to you pre booked hotel/resort. Rest of the day free at leisure. Enjoy the stunning surroundings of this amazing town.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Lansdowne
After breakfast, proceed to visit the major attractions of Lansdowne such as The Garhwal Rifles Regimental War Memorial, Regimental Museum along with that also visit some famous Churches and Hawaghar. Post lunch take you to Tip in Top (Tiffin Top), an easy trek. Later enjoy Boating in Bhulla Tal. After sightseeing return back to the hotel.
Have dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Lansdowne – Delhi (About 290 Kms/06.30 Hrs drive)
Today is the last day of the tour. After having an early breakfast drive back to Delhi for your onward journey.
