Overview
‘Explore Jim Corbett’ will give you the chance explore the amazing wildlife of Jim Corbett National Park. It is one of the most popular tourist destination in Uttarakhand. Corbett National Park is situated of Uttarakhand on the foothill of Himalayas in Nainital district. It is the first Sanctuary to come under the project of Tiger in 1936. It named after Jim Corbett who played a significant role in its establishment. The National Park is surrounded by lush green forest along with sub hill of Himalaya comprising chir, pine, Sal and Sheesham trees. It is the home of more than six hundred species of birds along with varies flora. The population of the tigers are around 160 here. It is one of the favorite place for ecotourism. Explore the rich flora and fauna along with the Jungle walk at the Corbett National Park apart from this there are various other attractions in Corbett are such as Elephant Ride, Corbett Waterfall, River Rafting and Corbett Museum etc.
Itinerary
Day 01: Delhi – Corbett (By Road- 248 Kilometers)
At early morning, proceed to Jim Corbett National Park. Upon arrival at Corbett National Park check-in at resorts. Rest of the day is free, just relax in the cozy comfort for your resort room. Post lunch proceed for a jungle walk for exploring the rich flora
and fauna of the National Park. Return to the resort and have dinner.
Overnight stay.
Day 02: Dhikala
Post breakfast, drive to Dhikala. Take a halt for wildlife viewing. It is the major center of wildlife activities in the Corbett National Park. Once you reach Dhikala, check in at wildlife resorts. After freshen up, embark for a game drive in Dhikala.
After the game drive return to the resort for lunch. Later, proceed for Elephant ride to explore this portion of Corbett National Park. While exploring the Jungle you may get the chance to view dove, Alexandrine, red breasted, plum headed and salty headed Parakeets, Asian Barred & white Rumped Needletail, crested Treeswift, oriental pied and Great Hornbills, blue throated Barbet and many more from close quarters.
In the evening return to Dhikala for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Dhikala
After breakfast, drive to visit the Ramganga Reservoir. On reaching Ramganga reservoir, explore the surroundings of the place from the top of the observation tower. It is a great place for birdwatchers, where you can observe many species of birds, like kingfishers, fish-eagles, terns, storks and many more. During winters the Ramganga Reservoir attracts many migratory bird species, especially water birds from Europe and Central Asia. In the evening return to Dhikala for dinner.
Overnight stay Dhikala.
Day 04: Corbett – Delhi (By Road- 248 Kilometers)
Early morning proceed for game drive at the Corbett National Park. After the game drive return to the resort and have breakfast. After breakfast, drive straight to Delhi airport. On reaching Delhi airport, board a flight for your onward destination.
