Overview
Formerly known as Vatapi, Badami is one of the most historical town in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka. During 540 to 757 AD, it was the capital of the Badami Chalukyas. It is popular for rock cut structural temples, known as The Badami cave temples. It is a group of four monuments including Hindu, Jain and possibly Buddhist cave temples. It is a UNESCO world heritage site, these rock cave temples are dated back to the 6th century. ‘Badami Weekend Getaways’ will give you the chance to explore the major attractions of this place such as Visit the Badami rock cut caves, Mahakuta group of temples, Badami Fort, Explore Malegitti Shivalaya temple and other Hindu and Jain temples.
Itinerary
Day 01: Hyderabad – Badami (By Road- 418.9/ 7hrs 59min)
Early morning pick up from advised location, then dive to Badami. Upon arrival at Badami, check in to your pre-booked hotel. Rest day is free at leisure.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Badami
Today after breakfast, proceed for full day excursion around Badami town. Visit the Badami rock cut caves, Mahakuta group of temples, Badami Fort, Visit of Hindu and Jain temples and Malegitti Shivalaya temple.

Day 03: Badami – Hyderabad (By Road- 418.9/ 7hrs 59min)
Today is the last day of tour. After breakfast, proceed to Hyderabad for onwards destination.
