Overview
Located at north-east of Kerala, Wayanad is one of the most exotic town of southern India. The name of the town is derived from Vayal Nadu which literally means the land of paddy fields. This beautiful town is situated at an elevation between 700 meters and 2100 meters above the sea level nested among the Western Ghats mountain range. ‘Short Escape to Wayanad’ will give you the chance to explore the major attractions of Wayanad along with Chembra Peak, stunning lakes and backwaters, Pakshipathalam and Meenmutty waterfalls.
Itinerary
Day 01: Cochin – Wayanad (260 km / 7hrs)
Early morning pick you from advised locations. Then drive to Wayanad. En-route enjoy the stunning surroundings such as tea, coffee, pepper, cardamom and rubber plantations.
Upon arrival, Check into your pre booked hotel. After freshen up, you will proceed for Chembra Peak, it is most popular among the adventure lovers, it is the main hub for trekking in Wayanad.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Wayanad
Today after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Wayanad. Visit the Pookot Lake which this stunning lake is located at in the wooded hills of the Wayanad region. You will be thrilled to see the Soojipara Falls This one of the most beautiful waterfall, located at Soochippara near Meppadi.
Further you go on to visit the Bansura sagar, it is located at the distance of about 15 kilometres away from Kalpetta. It is the India’s largest dam, built on Banasura Lake, on the foot hill of Banasura. You also visit the Pakshipathalam and Meenmutty waterfalls, which are also equally beautiful.
After a long day of adventure, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: Wayanad – Cochin (260 km / 7hrs)
Today is the last day of the tour. In the morning leave for Cochin after the breakfast. On arrival, head towards the Airport/Railway Station.
