Rapid Golden Triangle I had a wonderful experience in Golden Triangle Tour of North India! The trip was great! Everything worked very well The travel itself was well elaborated, the hotels were very well equilibration, from the more basic ones to the luxury resorts as the Dune or the Taj Malabar in Cochin. A very special experience was the trip on the boat (Spice Coast Cruises) -> simply great!

Overview

‘Madurai Weekend Getaway’ will give you the chance to explore one of the most popular and ancient city of Tamil Nadu, Madurai. It is situated on the banks of Vaigai River. This traditional town is the cultural hub of this region, which is the home of various historical and religious monuments including Meenakshi Amman Temple and Tirumalai Nayak Palace. During the tour, explore the major attractions of Madurai such as Meenakshi Amman Temple and Thirupparankundram Murugan Temple, Gandhi Museum, Samanar Hills, Koodal Azhagar Temple and Pazhamudhir Solai. Also explore Chettinad as well, known as the land of Heritage and Devotion, located in the Sivaganga District of Tamil Nadu.

Itinerary

Day 01: Cochin – Madurai (By Road- 266.1 kms/06hrs 46min)

Early morning, pick up from advised location at Cochin, then drive to Madurai. On arrival at Madurai, complete the check-in formalities at your pre booked hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities, exploring the nearby surroundings/market.

Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Madurai

Today after having an early breakfast, proceed to explore the major attractions of Madurai including the Meenakshi Amman Temple, Thirupparankundram Murugan Temple, Gandhi Museum, Samanar Hills, Koodal Azhagar Temple and Pazhamudhir Solai.

Overnight stay in Madurai.

Day 03: Madurai - Chettinad – Madurai (By Road- 76 kms)

After having an early breakfast. Proceed to for an excursion to Chettinad , which is known as the land of Heritage and

Devotion, situated in the Sivaganga District of Tamil Nadu.

Visit Chettinad Palace which is renowned for its beautiful mansions and other monuments around. Here taste the sumptuous authentic Chettinad cuisine.

Return to Madurai hotel for night stay.

Day 04: Madurai – Cochin (By Road- 266.1 kms/06hrs 46min)

Today is the last day of the tour. After having an early breakfast, drive back to Cochin for onward journey.
