Ellora, locally known as ‘Verul Leni’ truly reflects the religious harmony which prevailed during the 5th and 11th century AD. Situated on the Aurangabad, Chalisgaon road at a distance of 30 km northwest. It is renowned for its beautiful carvings, it is also world famous for the largest single monolithic excavation in the world.
Situated at a distance of 107 km north of Aurangabad, Ajanta Caves is world famous for its rock cut caves and its murals, are the finest surviving examples of Indian art, particularly painting. This beautiful cave is dated back to 2ndcentury BC. ‘Ajanta & Ellora Weekend Getaway’ will give you the chance to explore Ajanta & Ellora, two most renowned UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Itinerary
Day 1: Mumbai – Aurangabad (By flight) - Ellora Caves – Aurangabad (By Road- 35 Kilometres)
Upon arrival at Aurangabad,meet our representative, then proceed to the hotel. Check in to your pre booked hotel. After freshen up, proceed to visit Ellora Caves. It is a World Heritage Site. The cave temples and monasteries at Ellora truly reflects the religious harmony which prevailed during the 5th and 11th century AD. Ellora Caves renowned for its beautiful carvings.
After visiting Ellora Caves, explore the other historical places such as Bibi ka Maqbara and Daulatbad Fort. After full day sightseeing, return back to Aurangabad and have dinner.

Day 2: Aurangabad - Ajanta caves – Aurangabad (By Road- 107 kilometres)
After having an early breakfast, drive to Ajanta Caves. It is also an UNESCO World Heritage Site which is renowned for its
rock cut caves and alluring paintings. This beautiful cave is dated back to 2ndcentury BC. Explore the beautiful ancient caves. After visiting this historical sites, drive back to Aurangabad city. Evening is free at leisure, you may stroll around the place.

Day 3: Aurangabad – Mumbai (By flight)
Today is the last day of the tour. After breakfast, get transferred to Mumbai. On reaching the airport, you can depart for your onward journey.
