The trip was great! Everything worked very well The travel itself was well elaborated, the hotels were very well equilibration, from the more basic ones to the luxury resorts as the Dune or the Taj Malabar in Cochin. Overview

One of the most picturesque district of Kerala, Wayanad is situated in southern tip of the Deccan Plateau. This beautiful and exotic region is located on the foothill of Western Ghats Mountains, surrounded by dense forest and deep valleys, which is the home of various endangered species of flora and fauna. It is also well known for the plantation of the pepper, cardamom, coffee and tea. The name of the town ‘Wayanad’ is acquired from Vayal Nadu, which means land of paddy fields. ‘Wayanad Weekend Getaway’ will give you the chance to explore the gorgeous fresh water lakes, waterfalls, lush green mountains, exotic wildlife sanctuaries, and dense forest, Wayanad has everything which makes it the haven of Nature lover.

Itinerary

Day 1: Bangalore – Wayanad (By Road- 275.2 kms/ 5hrs 55min)

Pickup from advised location, then drive to Wayanad. On reaching at Wayanad, check in at your pre booked hotel. After freshen up, you will proceed for Chembra Peak, it is most popular among the adventure lovers, it is the main hub for trekking in Wayanad. Here you can enjoy the stunning view of the entire Wayanad from Chembra Peak.

You have to take a hike up the peak and on the way, you will find the gorgeous lake which is in a shape of a heart. After exploring the destination, return back to the hotel.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Wayanad

Today after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Wayanad. Visit the Pookot Lake which this stunning lake is located at in the wooded hills of the Wayanad region. You will be thrilled to see the Soojipara Falls This one of the most beautiful waterfall, located at Soochippara near Meppadi.

Further you go on to visit the Bansura sagar, it is located at the distance of about 15 kilometres away from Kalpetta. It is the India’s largest dam, built on Banasura Lake, on the foot hill of Banasura. You also visit the Pakshipathalam and Meenmutty waterfalls, which are also equally beautiful.

After a long day of adventure, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Wayanad – Bangalore (By Road- 275.2 kms/ 5hrs 55min)

Today is the last day of the tour. After breakfast, Check out from hotel and proceed to the Bangalore for your onward journey.
