Rapid Golden Triangle I had a wonderful experience in Golden Triangle Tour of North India! The trip was great! Everything worked very well The travel itself was well elaborated, the hotels were very well equilibration, from the more basic ones to the luxury resorts as the Dune or the Taj Malabar in Cochin. A very special experience was the trip on the boat (Spice Coast Cruises) -> simply great!

Overview

Located between the foothills of Western Ghat and Nilgiri Mountains, Bandipur National Park is one of the most popular national park of Karnataka. It was once a private hunting reserve for the Maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore. The park is spread over 874 square kilometres, which is the part of Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. This amazing Bandipur Tiger Reserve is a home of large variety of exotic flora and fauna.

‘Bandipur Weekend Getaway’ will give you the chance to explore the majestic wildlife of Bandipur National Park, which is the home various of endangered species such as Indian elephants, Indian rock pythons, four-horned antelopes, , gaurs, tigers, muggers, jackals, dholes and sloth bears. Apart from this also visit Venugopala Swamy temple at Himavad Gopala swamy Betta, situated at a height of 1450m and is extensively wooded. It is also the highest peak of this sanctuary.

Itinerary

Day 01: Bangalore - Bandipur National Park (By Road- 221.9 kms/ 4hrs 40 min)

Early morning, pickup point from advised location and drive to Bandipur National Park. Upon arrival check in to your pre booked wildlife resort. Rest of the day leisure to enjoy the splendid calm surroundings of the forest resort.

Dinner and overnight stay at resort.

Day 02: Bandipur National Park

Today early morning, proceed to explore the Bandipur National Park and spot the wildlife. Enjoy the open jeep safari.

Later return back to the resort and have breakfast. Post lunch, proceed to wildlife exploration and bird watching. This we will be on foot and will be doing a guided walk to explore its majestic wildlife.

In the evening return back to the resort. Rest day is free at leisure.

Dinner and overnight stay at resort.

Day 03: Bandipur – Bangalore (By Road- 221.9 kms/ 4hrs 40 min)

After having an early breakfast, proceed to visit Venugopala Swamy temple at Himavad Gopala swamy Betta, situated at an elevation of 1450 metres and is extensively wooded. It is also the highest peak in the Bandipur National Park. After visit, drive back to Bangalore for onward destination.
