The trip was great! Everything worked very well The travel itself was well elaborated, the hotels were very well equilibration, from the more basic ones to the luxury resorts as the Dune or the Taj Malabar in Cochin. Overview

‘Somnath Weekend Getaways’ will give you the chance to explore two most popular destinations of Gujrat: Porbandar and Somnath.Porbandar is known for being the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and Sudama (friend of Sri Krishna). It is the coastal city in Porbandar District of Gujrat.

Somnath is one of the holiest pilgrim place for Hindus, which is renowned for Somnath temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is of one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. This holy place is situated in Prabhas Patan near Veraval in Saurashtra on the western coast of Gujarat. During the tour you will get the chance to explore the major attractions of Porbandar such as Kirti temple, the birth place of Mahatma and the House of Kasturabba Gandhi in Porbandar etc. Along with that also explore Bhalka Tirth and Somnath temple in Somnath.

Itinerary

Day 01: Ahmedabad – Porbandar (By Road-394 kms/05hrs 53min)

Early morning, pick up from advised location at Ahmedabad, then drive to Porbandar. On arrival, check into the hotel. After freshen up, proceed to visit the Kirti temple, the birth place of Mahatma and the House of Kasturabba Gandhi.

Further, explore the Gandhi museum, study room of Mahatma Gandhi and Sudama temple. After sightseeing return back to the hotel.

An overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Porbandar – Somnath (By Road-172 kms/2hrs 39min)

Today after breakfast, proceed to Somanth. Upon arrival at Somnath, check into the hotel. After freshen up, proceed to visit Bhalka Tirth.

In the evening, proceed to visit for Aarti and Darshan at Somnath Temple and enjoy light and sound show.

Later, we will come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 03: Somnath – Ahmedabad (By Road- 406.9kms/6hrs 32min)

Today is the last day of the tour. After breakfast, we will leave for Ahmedabad. On arrival at Ahmedabad, drop you at your advised location.
