Overview
‘Rustic Tour of Sikkim’ is a well-designed itinerary which gives you the chance to explore some of the stunning towns and villages of Sikkim. It is one of the most beautiful and small state of India, which is located at the foothill of Himalaya. The state is bordered with Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and West Bangal.
You will explore the capital of Sikkim, which is one of the largest city of Sikkim. Located at the height of 5500 feet, on the foothill of lower Himalayas.The city offers a breath-taking view of the Khangchendzonga. You will also visit Ravangla, It is a small and beautiful town in South Sikkim, located at the height of 7000 feet from sea level which offers magnificent views of Kanchanjungha along with its sister peaks of Pandim, Kabru and you will get an opportunity to explore the another spectacular village,Rinchenpong, located at the height of 5576 feet above sea level in West Sikkim which is surrounded by lush green dense forest. The duration of the package is 06 nights and 07 days, covering the places such as NJP Railway station / IXB Airport, Gangtok, Ravangla and Rinchenpong. During this tour you will also get a chance to explore the culture and traditions of the region along with the major attractions of these beautiful destinations.
Itinerary
Day 01: NJP Railway station / IXB Airport – Gangtok (By Road-130 kilometres)
Upon arrival at NJP Railway station / IXB airport, meet our representative & transfer to Gangtok by road, which is located at about 130 kilometres from New Jalpaiguri railway station / Bagdogra Airport.
Upon arrival at Gangtok. Check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure.
Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
Day 02: Gangtok Sightseeing
After breakfast, Start for a half day trip of Tsomgo Lake, Which is also known as Changu Lake, it is located at the height of 12,400 feet from sea level & Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial which is located at the height of 13200 feet from sea level, located at the distance of 52 kilometres from Gangtok city. Tsomgo Lake freezes completely during the winter.
Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
Day 03: Gangtok –Ravangla (By Road-67 Kilometres)
Post breakfast, proceed to Ravangla. It is a small and beautiful town in South Sikkim, located at the height of 7000 feet from sea level which offers magnificent views of Kanchanjungha along with its sister peaks of Pandim, Kabru.
On arrival at Ravangla, check-in to your hotel. Rest for a while. Post lunch, proceed to visit Temi Tea Garden the only Tea estate in Sikkim & the Gurupadmasambhava statue, It is said to be the highest statue of Guru Padmasambhaba in the World.Return back to the hotel in the evening.
Overnight stay will be at Ravangla.
Day 04: Ravangla Sightseeing
Today after breakfast, proceed to visit Ralong Monastery, TendongHill which is about8530 feet high and is considered to be a dormant volcano and then exploreBorong, which is a small and typical village in Sikkim, it is renowned for hot spring.
Overnight stay will be at Ravangla.
Day 05: Ravangla –Rinchenpong(By Road-36kilometres)
This morning, have an early breakfast, then drive to another spectacular village,Rinchenpong, located at the height of 5576 feet above sea level in West Sikkim which is surrounded by lush green dense forest.
On arrival at Rinchenpong, check-in to your pre-booked hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. In evening, proceed for local village walk, where just understand the real culture and tradition of the stunning place.
Overnight stay will be at Rinchenpong.
Day 06: Rinchenpong Sightseeing
Today after breakfast, you have the choice to choose the sightseeing as per your interest, you can either explore KhandiDanra forest which is famous for its varied species of flora & fauna or you can visit Ati-Buddha statue, Old stone stupa, Rinchenpong Monastery.
Overnight stay will be at Rinchenpong.
Day 07: Rinchenpong –NJP Rly Stn. / IXB airport (By Road-122 kilometres)
