Overview
‘Shimla Weekend Getaway’ will give you the chance to explore Shimla, one of the most beautiful destination of Himachal Pradesh. It was the summer capital of the British in India, and at present it is the capital of Himachal Pradesh. This picturesque hill town is situated at an average elevation of 2,397 meters above from sea level, surrounded by lovely deodar forests and majestic Himalayas. This splendid hill town is surrounded by Kinnaur in the east, Uttarakhand in the south-east, Solan and Sirmaur to the south and Mandi and Kullu in the north.
During the tour, you will get the chance to explore the major attractions of Shimla such as mall, Christ Church, Scandal Point and the Gaiety Theatre. Apart from this you will also explore Kufri as well.
Itinerary
Day 1: Chandigarh - Shimla (Appox 113 kms-03 hrs 15 min)
Early morning, pick up from advised location in Chandigarh, then proceed to Shimla by road. Located at 2,397 meters above from sea level, the heady combinations of Chill Mountain air, orchards and colonial charms still make Shimla a dream get away.
Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore various scenic sights or visit Mall Road.
Overnight stay in Shimla.
Day 2: Shimla - Kufri – Shimla (Appox 17.6 – 46min)
After breakfast proceed for excursion to Kufri, located at an altitude of 2290 meters above the sea level, Kufri is famous for its Himalayan National Park, Pony and Yak Ride and one can see the endless Himalayan Panorama from Kufri.
In the afternoon, visit the Viceregal lodge, which was designed by British architect. Visit some nearby sites like the Christ Church, Scandal Point, and the Gaiety Theatre along with some shopping. In the evening, return back to the hotel.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Shimla – Chandigarh (Appox 360 kms by Drive)
Today is the final day of the tour. After early morning breakfast. Complete the check-out formalities. Proceed for drive back Chandigarh.
