The trip was great! Everything worked very well The travel itself was well elaborated, the hotels were very well equilibration, from the more basic ones to the luxury resorts as the Dune or the Taj Malabar in Cochin. Overview

‘Palitana & Bhavnagar Weekend Getaway’ will give you the chance to explore two amazing destinations of Gujrat: Palitana and Bhavnagar. Located at Shatrunjaya hill, Palitana is one of the holiest Jain pilgrimage sites. There are about 863 temples on the top of the hill. These Jain temples are dated back to approximately 900 years ago and are elegantly carved in marble. Here you will get the chance to explore Jain temple, which is dedicated to Shri Adishwara. Also visit Chaumukha Temple (four faced temple). Apart from this you will also get an opportunity to explore Blackbuck National Park, located at Velavadar in the Bhavnagar District of Gujarat. It was established in 1976, as a protection of the wolf, the blackbuck and the lesser florican. It is also the home of more than 187 species of birds including migratory as well as residents’ birds such as Pelican, Partridge, Duck, Eagle, Harrier, Sand Grouse, Crane, Lesser Florican, Stork and Lark.

Itinerary

Day 01: Ahmedabad – Palitana (By Road-214.3kms/03hrs 58min) – Bhavnagar (By Road-54.6kms/01hrs 22min)

Early morning, pick up from advised location in Ahmedabad, then drive to Palitana, here visit Jain temple, which is dedicated to Shri Adishwara. Also visit Chaumukha Temple (four faced temple).

After exploring Palitana, resume drive to Bhavnagar. Upon arrival at Bhavnagar, check into the hotel.

Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Bhavnagar – Blackbuck National Park – Bhavnagar (By Road-47 Kms/1hrs 1min)

Today early morning proceed to visit the Blackbuck National Park with packed breakfast. After jungle safari to the Blackbuck sanctuary, we will return to the hotel for lunch.

Post lunch, explore the other attractions of Bhavnagar including Takhteshwar Temple including Nilambag Palace, Gaurishankar Lake.

Later, we will return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 03: Bhavnagar – Ahmedabad (By Road-470.7 km/03hrs 20mint)

Today is the last day of the tour. After breakfast, we will drive back to Ahmedabad. Upon arrival at Ahmedabad, we will drop you at your advised location.
