Overview
‘Teen Dham Darshan Tour’ tour is well designed pilgrim itinerary which gives you the chance for explore the pilgrim places in Uttarakhand along with three holiest pilgrim places for Hindus that is Gangotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath Temple. Uttarakhand known as a Devbhumi which literally means the ‘Land of the Gods’ as the state lies many pilgrimage centres along with the various significant Hindu temples in the region. The state is covered by high Himalayan peaks, glaciers and forests which give us the breath-taking views and its pure surroundings of the nature yield the incredible feelings. Uttarakhand is the place of the origin of the two most important and religious river for Hindus that is Ganga river and Yamuna river, the Yamuna is originated at Yamunotri and the Ganges at Gangotri. The duration of the package is 07 nights and 08 days, covering the major destinations of Uttarakhand including Haridwar, Uttarkashi, Gangotri, Guptkashi, Kedarnath , Badrinath, Rudraprayag and Haridwar.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Haridwar – Uttarkashi (192 Kilometers/ 3 to 4 hours)
On reaching Haridwar, start driving towards your first destination, Uttarkashi. Uttarkashi is a famous pilgrim destination which is home to a number of ashrams and temples. It is the one of the most beautiful destination surrounded the lush green forest of Oak, rhododendron and pine along with that snowcapped mountain ranges.
On arrival in Uttarkashi, check-in to the hotel. Relax for a while, then proceed to visit the Vishwanath Temple. Attend the aarti and then return back to the hotel. Enjoy your dinner and have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (99 Kilometers / 2 to 4 hours)
This morning after breakfast, leave for Gangotri. Gangotri is one of the most important pilgrim for Hindus. It is located at the height of 3,100 meters at the on the Greater Himalayan Range on the banks of the river Bhagirathi. Gangotri is the spiritual source of India’s holiest river, the Ganga. The holly river Ganga known as Bhagirathi. The actual source of the river is Gurmukh glacier which is located at the distance of 18 kilometer from Gnagotri.
On reaching Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred water of Bhagirathi. The temple dates back to the 18th century and is dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Seek blessings of Goddess Ganga at the Gangotri Temple. The holy river Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot.
After Darshan drive back to Uttarkashi. On reaching the hotel, have your dinner and stay overnight.
Day 03: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (190 Kilometers / 3 to 4 hours)
After early breakfast, leave for Guptkashi. On reaching Guptkashi, check-in at the hotel.
Later, get your medical check-up done for your next day’s trip to Kedarnath. Enjoy your dinner and have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04: Guptkashi – Gaurikund – Kedarnath (33 Kilometers + 12 Km trek)
After having early breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Gaurikund. It is the major trekking base to Kedarnath. A thermal springs located here along with the temple of Gauri. As per Hindu mythology Goddess Parvati as Gauri meditated here, because she wanted Lord Shiva as her husband. Hence this place is one of the most impotent religious place For Hindus.
On reaching Gaurikund, start your 12 km trek to Kedarnath, you have an option Palki (Palanquin) or horse for your trek (Cost Not Included). Kedarnath It is one of the holiest temple for Hindus, which is one of the twelve jyotirlinga. The temple is devoted to lord Shiva. The temple is located at the height of 11,755 feet on the banks of Mandakini River,a tributary of Ganga.
Embark on this sacred pilgrimage and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. On reaching, check-in at the Government camps/lodges. Have your dinner and stay overnight.
Day 05: Kedarnath –Gaurikund – Guptkashi (12 Km trek + 33 Kilometers drive)
Today wake up early in the morning. After taking bath, you reach the temple by 4:45 am to attend 'Abhishek’ of Kedarnath Shiva. Seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. After Darshan and Puja and return to your Govt. Camps / Lodges. Take some rest and then start with the return trek to Gaurikund. On reaching Gaurikund, head back to your hotel in Guptkashi. Enjoy your
dinner and stay overnight.
Day 06: Guptkashi – Joshimath – Badrinath (201 Kilometers/ 3 to 4 hours)
After having breakfast, drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Enjoy the panoromic view of the while driving to Badrinath. Badrinath is one of the important pilgrim for Hindus, situated in the Chamoli district in Uttarakhand. It is most important of all the Char Dham in India. Badrinath is located at the heights of 10,170 feet, lies between the Nar and Narayana mountains on the banks of Alaknanda River.
On reaching, check-in to the hotel. Take some rest at the hotel.
Later, head to Tapt Kund (Hot Spring) where you take a bath. You are all set to go to the temple for Darshan. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Badrinath is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Hindu Char Dham Yatra. The place holds great religious significance to Hindus and Buddhists.
After Darshan at the temple, return to the hotel. Have your dinner and have a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 07: Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag (158 Kilometers / 2 to 4 hours)
In the early morning proceed to the Badrinath temple. After Darshan, return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, proceed for local sightseeing around Badrinath. Visit famous shrines and other attractions of Badrinath including Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti temple.
In the afternoon, start driving to Rudraprayag via Karanprayag. Rudraprayag is one of the five confluences of river Alaknanda. It is blessed with nature's bounty.The town is situated the distance of 86 kilometres away from Kedarnath on the height of 2,936 feet from sea level. Rudraprayag is one of the most important pilgrim destination for Hindus, located on the meeting point of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini.
On reaching Rudraprayag, check-in to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or go out to explore the beauty of Rudraprayag. Have your dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Rudraprayag – Rishikesh – Haridwar (160 Km / 5 to 6 hrs)
After having your breakfast early in the morning, drive to Rishikesh. On reaching Rishikesh, go for sightseeing and visit attractions like Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula.
