Overview

 ‘Glimpse of Coast to Mountain Tour’ is well designed package as which will give you the chance to explore the most stunning locations of Kerala. Located on the Malabar Coast, Kerala is one of the most beautiful state in Southern part of India which blessed with unique geographical features that have made it one of the most sought after tourist destinations in India. Kerala is also known as “God’s own Country’’ as the state is surrounded by backwaters lies with Palm trees, stunning hill stations, wildlife, rich culture and heritage.
 
Along with that you will also explore Mumbai which is one of the 6th largest and populated Megacity of the world, it is known as the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. The city is renowned for its vibrant lifestyle, which conceded as the city that never sleeps. During the tour you will also explore the Kerala’s most popular wildlife reserves such as Periyar national park, Eravikulam National Park and Kumarakomn Bird Sanctuary. The duration of the travel is 13 nights and 14 days.

Itinerary

Day 1: Mumbai (Arrival)
 
Upon arrival in Mumbai, meet our representative, after welcome proceed to the hotel. Mumbai is one of the 6th largest and populated Megacity of the world which is known as the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. The city is renowned for its vibrant lifestyle, which conceded as the city that never sleeps.
 
Check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Enjoy the nightlife of the colourful city, explore the Chowpatty beach and test the mouth-watering street foods. Overnight stay at the hotel.
 
Day 2: Mumbai
 
Today after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing in and Mumbai. Visit the Elephanta Caves, on Elephanta Island, transports you back 6th and 7th century centuries. The magnificent rock-cut carvings here are some of the most spectacular you will get to see anywhere.
 
The other visits of the day will be the Gateway of India, Juhu Beach and some shoot locations of Bollywood. Overnight stay in the hotel.
 
Day 3: Mumbai – Trivandrum (By Flight) – Kovalam (By Road-19 Kilometres)
 
Today after breakfast, proceed to Mumbai airport, board a flight for Trivandrum. After arriving, proceed to Kovalam and check into a city hotel after arrival. The city of Kovalam is Kerala’s most popular tourist attraction. This beach town is located on the shores of Arabian Sea in Thiruvananthapuram city. The meaning of Kovalam is a grove of coconut trees which gives it the true significance as the entire town is surrounded by coconut trees. Three crescent shaped beaches separated by rocky headlands are the main hotspot here.
 
On arrival, check in at the resort. Overnight stay at a resort. After freshen up, you have the choice to explore the beautiful beaches the town such as Hawa Beach, Lighthouse Beach and Samudra Beach, apart from this you may also enjoy the water sports activity such as kayaking, skiing swimming, you may also take relaxing Ayurvedic massage as well. Overnight Stay in Kovalam.
 
Day 4: Kovalam - Cape Comorin – Kovalam (By Road-84 Kilometres)
 
After breakfast, proceed to Cape Comorin. Kanyakumari was known as Cape Comorin during the British rule as it was geographically a cape. The sightseeing tour features a visit to the Padmanabhapuram Palace followed by the Archaeological Museum.  After visit return to the hotel In Kovalam. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
 
Day 5: Kovalam – Varkala (By Road-59 Kilometres)
 
Post breakfast, proceed to Varkala. It is a coastal town in Thiruvananthapuram district. Seaside destinations along India’s western coast offer some sublime views of Arabian seas. It is the only place in southern Kerala where cliffs are located adjacent to the Arabian Sea. Also a Hindu pilgrimage place, Varkala is popular for Papasnanam Beach and Sree Janardhana Swamy Temple.
 
On reaching at Varkala , check in to the hotel, rest day will be free at leisure. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
 
Day 6: Varkala – Kumarakom (By road-141 Kilometres)
 
Today after having breakfast, proceed to Kumarakom by a speedboat or by a luxury cruiser. Kumarakom, it is the one of the most popular tourist destination in Kerala. It is renowned for backwater, located on the Vembanad Lake, which is the largest lake of fresh water. The backwater fishing village is indeed a haven, and has had its attractions advertised by some stunning top end resorts by the side of Vembanad Lake.   
 
On reaching at Kumarkom, check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 7: Kumarakom
 
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Kumarakom. Enjoy the boat ride through the countryside of Kerala. Thereafter visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Protected by a thick cluster of mangroves, the bird sanctuary spread across 14 acres and home to over 180 species of birds. It is best to visit on foot by one and half kilometres on walking trek, where you are likely to spot heron, darters, water duck, waterfowl, owl, cuckoo and Siberian cranes. 
 
Later, enjoy water sports like wind sailing, canoeing and water skiing. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kumarakom.
 
Day 8: Kumarakom – Thekkady (By Road-123 Kilometres) 
 
Post breakfast, drive to Thekkady. Thekkady is the small village located in the Idukki district in the state of Kerala. This place is renowned for largest and one of the oldest wildlife sanctuary ‘Periyar National Park’, which is the most popular tourist destination of Kerala. Thekkaddy offers a calm and soothing environment which makes it as a haven for nature and wildlife lovers. 
 
Check in at the hotel on arrival. Rest day is free at leisure .Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 9: Thekkady
 
Today after breakfast, proceed to the Periyar Tiger Reserve. It is the main attraction of Thekkady, situated at banks of artificial Lake of Periyar. The Periyar wildlife Sanctuary and Tiger Resave is one of the oldest protected area in the country.
 
The sanctuary is spread around 770 square Kilometres. The sanctuary is surrounded by dense forest along with the green grasslands. It is home of Indian tigers, elephants, lion tailed macaques, gaurs, deer, sambars apart from this 45 species of reptiles , 30 species of snakes, 13 lizard species and 2 turtle’s species.  Apart from wild life you may also do the boating on the lake. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is must visit attraction of Thekkady. Take pleasure in a walk through the plantations followed by a boat safari on Periyar Lake. Stay overnight stay.
 
Day 10: Thekkady – Munnar (By Road-95 Kilometres)
 
After having breakfast, proceed to Munnar by road.  The town is one of the most picturesque hill station in the Idukki district of Kerala. The town is located at the foothill of the Western Ghats mountain range, at the height of about 5,200 feet above from the sea level. Also offers the exotic species of flora and fauna, which enhances the beauty of the town.  Munnar is not popular as a hill resort, but it is also the centre of the Kerala’s tea growing district, aptly known as the high range.
 
On arrival, check into the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure or you explore the surroundings at your won or you make also visit some local market where you can buy some authentic handicraft items of Kerala. Overnight stay in the hotel.
 
Day 11: Munnar
 
After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of  Munnar., you will visit the major attractions Including Christ Church which was established in 1910 by the British, visit Eravikulam National Park which is the home of Nilgiri Tahr apart from this is also vast flora and fauna.
 
Then explore Mattupetty DamIt is located at the distance of 13 kilometres away from Munnar. This 160 feet high dam has vast reservoir extending several kilometres into the hill. Cruising here is an amazing experience. It is offering occasional sightings of elephant, gaur as well as sambar and Anamudi peak it located at the elevation of 2695 meter above the sea level, the peak is located within Eravikulam, you may also get a trekking opportunities here.
 
After visiting these attractions, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
 
Day: 12: Munnar – Cochin (By Road-131 Kilometres)
 
Post breakfast, proceed to Cochin. Kochi is one of the most important city of Kerala which is also known as Cochin Located on the south-west coast in Kerala which is also known as the Gateway to Kerala, situated on the Arabian Sea. Kochi is one of the most beautiful city of the state of Kerala. 
 
Check in to the hotel upon arrival at Cochin. Rest day is free at leisure. Explore the major market area where you can shop for excusive quality of nuts, spices. Overnight stay at the hotel.
 
Day 13: Cochin
 
Today after having breakfast, embark for the city tour. During the city tour you will visit some of the most tourist attractions of Cochin. Visit Jewish Synagogue which was constructed in 1568. Then visit St. Francis Church which was constructed in 1503. This church was built on the place where Vasco da Gama (the explorer) was buried, it is the oldest European cathedral in India. 
 
Later visit the Dutch Palace, it is also known as Mattancherry Palace. . In 1557 the church of the palace was constructed by Portuguese, later it was passed to the Dutch during the pre-British period. A temple is also located in the courtyard. The major highlights of the palace is on the murals walls of the rooms of palace. Also explore the Chinese nets too. In the evening, enjoy the Kathakali dance performance. Overnight stay at hotel.
 
Day 14: Cochin – Mumbai (By flight)
