Tour Description

Overview

‘Glimpse of Arunachal’s Tribes’, is the one of the unique package of North East. The region is known for its significant culture and tradition. It is most untouched region of India, which is the home of various tribes and still they follow their own culture, tradition, lifestyle and language. The duration of the package 11 nights and 12 days. During the tour you will get the chance to understand the diversity of the culture and tradition of the North East region and you know the real tribal lifestyle, how to depend on agriculture, fishing and hunting as well. Along with that you will also get an opportunity to explore 02 major cities of Assam Guwahati and Dibrugarh.

Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati Sightseeing

Upon arrival at Guwahati, meet our representative and proceed to the hotel.  Guwahati, the biggest city in north east defined by the breath-taking river Brahmaputra, which flows here. The city sprawls along the curve of the river. Home to the world’s largest tea auction centre, and more importantly is the gateway to the whole of the north-eastern region of India.

On arrival, check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure or you can explore the spectacular surroundings and so some shopping at the nearby markets.
Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 2: Guwahati-Nameri National park (By Road-216 Kilometres)

After breakfast, proceed to visit kamakhya temple. After take blessing from holy shrine proceed to Nameri National Park, which is located at the distance of 230 Kilometres from Guwahati/Tezpur.

Upon arrival at Nameri National Park, check in to the camp/ lodge. Rest day is free at leisure.  In the evening enjoy renowned traditional Assamese dance.

Day 3: Nameri National Park – Ziro(By Road-320 Kilometres)

Today after early breakfast, proceed to Ziro. It is renowned World Heritage Site, which is located at the distance of 320 Kms form the Nameri National Park.  En route enjoy the stunning surroundings. Upon arrival at Ziro, check in to your pre booked hotel. Ziro is home to the Apatani tribe, which have a few unique special characteristic features which differs from other tribes.Rest day is free at leisure.

Day 4:  Ziro Sightseeing

Post breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing in and around the Ziro, visit famous Hong Village which is known as Asia’s largest tribal village, also visit Apatani villages and Ziro Limekin Nishi tribal villages.  After visiting these places return back to Ziro.
Overnight stay in Ziro.

Day 5: Ziro – Daporijo (By Road-168 Kilometres)

Today post breakfast, proceed to Daporizo, which is another tribal, located at the distance of 170 kilometres away from Ziro. It is the home of Hill Miris, Tagins and Adi-Gallongs tribals. On the way visit Nishi and Tagin villages. Upon arrival check in to lodge/hotel. Rest day is free at leisure.

Day 6: Daporizo Sightseeing

After having the breakfast, proceed for a full day at Daporizo to explore ruler areas.  It is also an ideal place for trekking. After visiting the places, return back to the hotel.

Day 7: Daporizo – Along(By Road-170 kilometres)

Today after breakfast, proceed to visit the in and around Daporizo . After tour, drive towards Along or 'Aalo' which is located at the distance of about 170 KMs form Daporizo. Along is located at an altitude of 1020 feet from sea level, on the bank of Siang River. It is the land of Adi tribe. The adi tribe is said to be the largest tribe of Arunchal Pradesh. Later visit Kabo Village. Back to Along.

Day 8: Along Sightseeing

Afterbreakfast, proceed to visit Adi Villages.  During the tour you will get the chance to explore the culture and traditions of the village. Return back to the hotel in the evening.

Day 9: Along –Pasighat (By Road-145 Kilometres)

Post breakfast proceed to the oldest town of Arunchal Pradesh. It is headquarters of East Siang district in Arunachal Pradesh. The town is located at a distance of 145 Kms form Along, on the bank of river Siang. It is the land of yet another famous tribes Passi and Minnyiong. Upon arrival check in to the camp/lodge. Rest day is free at leisure.

Day 10: Pasighat- Dibrugarh (By ferry)

After having breakfast, proceed to Dibrugarh. Will do boat ride and cross river. The boat ride is of 6 hours and during the ride will explore the tribals.It is one of the major city of eastern India.

Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure.
Overnight at Dibrugarh.

Day 11: Dibrugarh-Namphake Village– Dibrugarh (By Road-40 Kilometres)Excursion Tour

Post breakfast, proceed to Namphake Village. It is the largest Tai-Phake villages of Assam.  Here you will explore thetribal’s culture and Buddhism all together. In evening back to Dibrugarh.
Overnight stay at Dibrugarh.

Day 12: Dibrugarh (Departure)
