Overview

Desert Circuit Semi Luxury Train Journey gives you to chance to explore the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan. During the journey you will explore the popular attractions of two major destinations of the ‘Land of Kingdoms’: Jaipur & Jaisalmer. Jaipur, also known as 'Pink City', it is the capital of Rajasthan, The Land of Great Kingdoms. Jaipur called as Pink City because extensive use of pink colour on the walls of the old city when Prince Wales was visited India and still we can see the same tradition followed by this traditional city.The city was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber on 18 November 1727. Jaipur was one of the most important part of the glorious history of which reflects over the magnificent forts and palaces and other monuments.

‘The Golden city’, Jaisalmer is situated 575 kilometers west from Jaipur, the city was founded by MaharawalJaisal Singh, a Rajput king in 1156 and named after him. The yellow sandstone and yellow sands used in every architecture of the city which gives it a yellowish-golden tinge to the city and its surrounding area. It is one of the most romantic places in India and also exotic destination for Indian as well as foreign tourists. Jaisalmer, is also known as the “Land of Sands”, famous for its majestic forts, rich in culture and tradition.

Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday: Arrival at Delhi

Upon arrival at the airport, meet our tour representative who’ll assist you in smooth transfer to the hotel. On arrival, check in at the hotel. After freshen up, later, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi which include Red Fort and Chandani Chowk, Rajghat. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 2: Sunday- Delhi Safdarjung – Jaisalmer (By Desert Circuit Semi Luxury Train) at 17:00 hrs

Today after breakfast, rest day is free at leisure.  Post lunch proceed to Safdarjung Railway Station to board the train towards Jaisalmer. ‘The Golden city’, Jaisalmer is situated 575 kilometres west from Jaipur, the city was founded by MaharawalJaisal Singh, a Rajput king in 1156 and named after him. The yellow sandstone and yellow sands used in every architecture of the city which gives it a yellowish-golden tinge to the city and its surrounding area.
Dinner & Overnight on board.

Day 2: Monday: Arrive Jaisalmer (By Train)Departs at 10:00 hrs

Today morning, enjoy your breakfast on board. Then around arrive Jaisalmer at 10:00 hours. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and check in your pre booked hotel. Post lunch proceed to explore the unique desert experience, Return back to hotel.
Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Tuesday: Jaisalmer – Jaipur (By Train)Departs at 17:00 hrs

After Breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing of Jaisalmer including.Gadisagar Lake, Thar Heritage Museum, Patwon Ki Haveli. Enjoy your Lunch at good local restaurant. Post visit to Jaisalmer Fort, transfer to Jaisalmer Railway Station to board the train to Jaipur. The train departs at 17:00hrs.
Overnight at Train.

Day 4: Wednesday: Arrive Jaipur at 06:00 hrs

Upon arrival, proceed to the hotel. Check in at hotel followed by lunch. After lunch proceed to visit City Palace & Observatory. This afternoon proceed to visit ethnic village set up at ChokiDhani. Enjoy the dinner at ChokhiDhani.
Return back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5: (Thursday): Jaipur – Delhi (By Train) Departs at 13:00 hrs, Arrival at Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station at 20:00 hrs

Today after having an early breakfast, check out from the hotel. Then proceed for sightseeing Amber Fort. Located about 11 kilometre north of the Jaipur city, Amber Fort Palace is the main attraction of Jaipur. Amber was the capital of the KachhwahaRajputs for over 700 years. It is one of the most beautiful fort of the region, which is situated forested hill promontory that juts into Maota Lake near the town of Amer.

After sightseeing, transfer to train station to board the train for lunch on board.Arrive at Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station by late evening.
