Overview
‘Deccan Tour’ is well designed itinerary which gives you the chance to explore the Deccan region, which is located between two mountain ranges- Eastern Ghats and the Western Ghats. During this tour you will explore the major cities of south India along with that you will also visit Mumbai.Mumbai is one of the 6th largest and populated Megacity of the world which is known as the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. The city is renowned for its vibrant lifestyle, which conceded as the city that never sleeps.
Apart from this you will also visit Hydrabad. Founded in late 16th centuries by Muhammad Quil Shah. It is one of the major city of Andhra Pradesh as well as Telangana. The duration of the tour is 12 nights and 13 days covering the cities such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Gulbarga, Bijapur, Badami, Hospet, Hassan, Mysore and Bangalore. During this tour you will feel the rich History of the region while exploring the major attractions of such places.
Itinerary
Day 1: Mumbai (Arrival)
Upon arrival in Mumbai, meet our representative, after welcome proceed to the hotel. Mumbai is one of the 6th largest and populated Megacity of the world which is known as the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. The city is renowned for its vibrant lifestyle, which conceded as the city that never sleeps.
Check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Enjoy the nightlife of the colourful city, explore the Chowpatty beach and test the mouth-watering street foods. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Mumbai (sightseeing)
Today after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing in Mumbai. Visit the Elephanta Caves, on Elephanta Island, transports you back 6th and 7th century centuries. The magnificent rock-cut carvings here are some of the most spectacular you will get to see anywhere.In the afternoon, explore other tourist attractions in Mumbai which include the Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum and Hanging Gardens. By evening, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: Mumbai-Hyderabad (By flight)
Today after breakfast in the morning, drive to the airport to board the flight to Hyderabad. On reaching Hyderabad airport, proceed to the hotel. After breakfast, proceed to Hyderabad. After freshen up. Proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Hyderabad covering Mecca Masjid, Faluknuma Palace, Safdarjung Museum and Charminar. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 4: Hyderabad-Gulbarga (By Road-213 Kilometres)
After having an early breakfast, drive to Gulbarga. En-route take a halt at Bidar to visit the 15th century Bidar Fort and the Bahmani tombs. On reaching Gulbarga, check into the hotel. Rest for a while then proceed to visit the 15th century Jama Masjid. By evening, return back to the hotel for night stay.
Day 5: Gulbarga-Bijapur (By Road-167 Kilometres)
Post breakfast, proceed to Bijapur by road. Upon arrival at Bijapur, check into the hotel. Take rest for a while, later proceed for a tour of Bijapur covering Gol Gumbaz and Ibrahim Roza. By evening, return back to the hotel for night stay.
Day 6: Bijapur-Badami(By Road-120 Kilometres)
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Badami temples. On the way, visit Aihole which is a village, having historic temple complex. Upon arrival, check in to your pre-booked hotel. After freshen up, Later, visit the Mahakuteshwara Temple, Northern Fort and Badami rock-cut caves. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Badami-Hospet(By Road-135 Kilometres)
Today after having an early breakfast, drive to Hospet. It is located in Ballari District in central Karnataka,, which is renowned Historical site and also the major hub of Hampi which is located at the distance about 12 kilometres which is the World Heritage site consisting of the ruins of the medieval city of Vijayanagara.
On the way, halt in Pattadakal- famous for his ten medieval temples representing Chalukyan architecture. On arrival at Hospet, check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Overnight in Hospet.
Day 8: Hospet
Post breakfast, proceed to visit one of the most important historical site, Hampi. It is located at the distance about 12 kilometres which is the World Heritage site consisting of the ruins of the medieval city of Vijayanagara. Here you will explore the ruins of the kingdom of Hampi. Later, return back to Hospet for night stay.
Day 9: Hospet-Hassan (By Road-319 Kilometres)
Today after breakfast, leave by road for Hassan. It is another major town in Karnataka, located at the height of about 934 above from the sea level. It is another major historical site which is known for various temples built during the Hoysala dynasty.
Upon arrival, check into the hotel, rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: Hassan-Mysore (By Road-119 Kilometres)
Post breakfast in the morning, go out for a sightseeing tour of Belur and Halebid. Once reach Mysore, check-in to your pre-booked hotel. Take rest for a while. Post lunch enjoy a sightseeing tour of Mysore including Golden Royal Elephant, Brindavan Gardens, Mysore Zoo and the Durbar hall. Have your dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 11: Mysore
Post breakfast; explore the Maharaja Palace, also known as Mysore Palace or the Amba Vilas Palace-official residence of Wodeyars, the royal family of Mysore. Afterwards, visit the Nandi or Bull temple at the Chamundi Hills-a temple dedicated to Nandi (Bull), the vehicle of Lord Shiva. The next visit is to St. Philomena's Church-one of the oldest churches in India.
Back to Mysore for visiting the Mysore Zoo. Overnight stay.
Day 12: Mysore-Bangalore (By Road-145 Kilometres)
Today after having an early breakfast, proceed to Bangalore. On the way visit Srirangapatna- the capital of Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. Visit Tipu's Palace that is now in ruins, Gumbaz-the burial chamber of Tipu Sultan, his father Haider Ali and mother Fatima Begum and lastly, Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, known as Dariya Daulat Palace.
Upon arrival in Bangalore, check in at the hotel. Rest for a while, Later proceed to visit here include The Bangalore Fort & Palace, Vidhana Soudha and Lal Bagh. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 13: Departure from Bangalore
