Overview
Kashmir has numerous snow & spring nourished streams. The season for angling runs from April to October. The largest rivers in Kashmir is such as Sindh, Lidder, and so on are secured with snow, which begins liquefying between the months of May to July. During colonial days angling was a very popular pastime with the British and they called it the 'Great Game'.
We are pleased to offer you our package Angling and fishing tour of Kashmir which will give you the chance to enjoy fishing at some the most stunning rivers and lakes of Sindh, Sonamarg etc. Along with that you will also get the sightseeing of beautiful Srinagar staying in a houseboat, the package also covers Taj Mahal as well as the sightseeing of Delhi.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Arrive at Delhi you meet and greet by our representative. After welcome, proceed to hotel. Rest day is free at leisure or you can explore the city at your own. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi -Srinagar
Early morning flight to Srinagar. On arrival, get transferred to the houseboat. Later, enjoy a Shikara ride on the lake. Post lunch, explore the Mughal Gardens- Nishat Bagh, Chashmi-e-Shahi Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. The afternoon is scheduled for a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 3: - Srinagar - Sonamarg (84 kms) Sightseeing
This morning after breakfast, proceed to Sonamarg proceed for Sonmarg (the meadow of gold) which is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Kashmir, the town is located at the height of 2, 740 meter.it is most beautiful place of the Kashmir valley, there are rolling hills, craggy peaks, rushing streams, a glacier and a trout filled river which offers an amazing view against the Mountain ranges and refine sky. Upon arrival check in to the camp, enjoy the comfortable camping, alongside the river Sindh for the next 3 nights. Enjoy fishing here. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 4: Sonamarg
Today after breakfast, proceed for fishing, the entire day is booked for fishing with experts who are well-aware of the waters, enjoy the full day fishing. Evening is free at leisure explore the nearby places. Dinner and overnight stay at camp.
Day 5: Sonamarg
Post breakfast, proceed for another full- day of fishing. In the evening, enjoy a stroll around the river. Dinner and overnight stay at camp.
Day 6: Sonamarg - Srinagar
After breakfast, proceed to Srinagar. Upon arrival at Srinagar, get transferred to the houseboat, check in at houseboat . Rest day is free at leisure .Overnight stay at houseboat.
Day 7: Srinagar
Breakfast at hotel. The entire day is free. In the evening, enjoy Shikara ride on Dal lake. Stay Overnight at the houseboat.
Day 8: Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar (112 Kms) Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg for full day trip to Gulmarg (the meadow of flowers) 2730 meters above from sea level. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and one of the highest golf courses in the world with 18 holes. You can also enjoy a view of Nanga Parbat if the weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. A short trek up to Khilanmarg, which can be covered in about 3 hrs, is optional. The Gondola Lift Mountain rides is also available. Later, return to the hotel/houseboat for overnight stay.
Day 9: Srinagar Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Srinagar which include the Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background, you can enjoy the Shikara ride on the Dal Lake. En route the gardens, visit a carpet weaving factory. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 10: Srinagar - Delhi - Agra
After breakfast, get transferred to the airport to catch a flight for Delhi. After arrival, start your road journey to Agra. Once you arrive, check-into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Agra
Post breakfast, proceed to visit Taj Mahal and Red Fort. Post lunch, enjoy an excursion to Fatehpur Sikri, constructed during the Mughal era. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 12: Agra - Delhi
After breakfast, start your road journey to Delhi. On the way cover, Sikandara. On arrival, check into the hotel. Half-day city excursion. Night halt at a city hotel.
Day 13 - Departure - Delhi
In morning after breakfast, proceed to Delhi Airport to board your connecting flight for the onward journey with Sweet and Happy Memories.
