Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi - Leh Sightseeing
On arrival at Delhi airport, take flight to Leh. On arrival in Leh, check-in at the hotel and have the breakfast. Rest day is free just relax and keep your body to adjust the high altitude. In the evening, visit Shanti Stupa, it is located from 5 kilometers away from the Leh, it was constructed by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura in 1991 and it was inaugurated by the 14th Dalai Lama. Later visit Chowkang monastery and local market. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Leh - Indus Valley - Leh(Excursion Tour)
Today after breakfast, proceed to Indus Valley and explore its main attractions. En route Leh to Indus Valley, visit Magnetic Hill, It is the one of the most famous attraction of the Leh & Ladakh region. Gravity hill has strong magnetic properties and cars are automatically pulled downhill and Nimu valley. The next visit is to Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, lying on Leh-Nimu road. The gurudwara was built in the memory of Guru Nanak in 1517 and is 20 km from Leh. It is a stopping point for people who ride through the road as is believed that it brings good luck to the travelers. Apart from its scenic beauty, Indus Valley offers excellent opportunities for adventure sports. Back to Leh in the late evening. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Leh - Nubra Valley (Valley of Flowers) Sightseeing
Today visit the tri-armed Nubra Valley, tucked away on the north-eastern side of Ladakh. One of After breakfast, proceed to Nubra Valley (125 kilometer) via the famous Khardongla Pass. This valley is located at the banks of the pure Nubra River. The Valley is also called the Valley of the flowers, which contained the vibrant, colorful and the most beautiful flowers set amidst lush green landscape. It is also one of the most famous attraction of the Leh Ladakh. It is located from approximately 115 kilometers from Leh.
Upon arrival, check in at the hotel/guesthouse in Nubra. In the afternoon, visit Panamic Hot Springs and Samstanling, Do not miss taking a camel safari on the Hunder sand dunes. Hop-on to the backs of double-humped camels to explore the surrounding scenery. Overnight Stay at hotel or guesthouse.
Day 4: Nubra Valley - Leh
After breakfast, proceed to Samstanling Monastery-this 19th century monastery is placed in an picturesque surroundings. Later, drive to Leh. Via Khardung La, which is known as highest motorable road in the world. Upon arrival in Leh, check-in to the hotel. The rest day is free at leisure or you can explore the nearby surroundings on your own. Overnight in Leh.
Day 5: Leh - Pangong Lake Sightseeing
Today post breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake, also known as Pangong Tso. Pangong Tso is located at the height of 4350 meters approximately from the sea level which extends from India to Tibet. It is about 150 kilometres from Leh. About 60% length of the lake are situated in Tibet. En route, visit Durnuk and Tangtse villages. In afternoon arrival at the Pangong Lake. Set your camps here. Take a panoramic view of surroundings which are extremely soothing, watch the colorful birds and visit the local village and closely know about the local culture of Leh region. Stay overnight in Camp.
Day 6: Pangong Tso - Leh
Post breakfast, drive back to Leh. Upon arrival in Leh, check-into the hotel. After freshen up proceed for sightseeing of Leh, includes Shanti Stupa- Santi stupa is located from 5 kilometres away from the Leh, it was constructed by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura in 1991 and it was inaugurated by the 14th Dalai Lama, Leh Palace- Leh Palace I located the old town sits in the shadow of a hill. This 19 stories high Leh Palace was constructed in 1553 AD and it was the one of the highest building of the world .It was the residence of the royal families until 19th century, Hall of Fame Museum- founded and managed by the Army in the memory of war heroes. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 7: Leh (Monastery Visits) Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed to visit the popular monasteries of Leh such as Thiksey, Hemis, Spituk, Shey. Each of them is not only a spiritual center but also an architectural marvel. Hemis is a Tibetan monastery is the one of the biggest in Ladakh which is located approximately 45 kilometres from Ladakh. The existence of this monastery was before 11th century but it was rebuilt 1672. the honour of Lord Padmasambhava; every year this monastery host the cultural and traditional festival. It is located about 8 kilometres from Leh which was established by Od-de the elder brother of Lha Lama Changchub Od in 11th century. On a small hill, overlooking the airfield and the Indus, is the Gelug monastery of Spituk which means ‘’effective as an example’’. Shey monastery was established in 1655 within the Shey palace complex which is located about 15 kilometers away from Leh and it was the former residence of the pre-Tibetan royal family. Thiksey is a gompa affiliated with the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It is located on top of a hill approximately 19 kilometers east of Leh in Ladakh. Back to hotel in the evening. Overnight in Leh.
Day 8: Departure from Leh - Delhi
In morning after breakfast at your hotel you will be driven back to Leh Airport to board your connecting flight for the onward journey with Sweet and Happy Memories.
