Agartala:
Agartala, the capital city, is surrounded by picturesque hills on three sides and the plains of Bangladesh on the fourth. Dotted with lovely lakes, the city also has a specially developed artificial lake and botanical and zoological gardens. Agartala also possesses some beautiful temples and monuments - the Chaturdasa Devata temples, houses fourteen images of the royals deities made of an alloy of eight metals. Other places of interest are the Kunjaban, the craft teachers, Training Institute, Maharaja Bir Bikram college and the govt. The museum and art gallery which contain are stone images, old coins and archaeological findings
