About Punjab

Overview

Punjab is a proudly state in the north-west of India. It is indeed one of the most prosperous states of India. The name 'Punjab' or the 'land of five waters' is derived from the fact that five rivers Sutlej, Ravi, Beas, Jhelum and Chenab flow through this colorful and magnificent state. Being a fusion of rural and urban flavors, Punjab indeed has a lot to offer to its guests supported by its unique legend of religion with a hub of Gurudwaras. Formerly the Summer Palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, is now a museum preserving the weapons which had been used in the Mughal times and the portraits of the various dynasties of Punjab.

Spring and autumn seasons are the best time to visit Punjab. The natural landscape looks breathtaking with lush mustard fields of Punjab being a sight to preserve in the heart. The rustic textures of the place and good humor of the Punjabis are enough to make the travel experience delightful.
