Jammu

Jammu is considered as heaven because of its exquisite beauty and natural charm. It is one of the most appreciated tourist spots in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. The natural beauty of the place is sublime and among the sightseeing spots, the famous ones are the beautiful Mansar Lake, Sheesh Mahal and many temples. Sheesh Mahal is the Jammu’s most visited sites. Also referred to as as the palace of mirrors, it is a historical structure and situated close to the Ramnagar Fort at Ramnagar in the Jammu District. It is just about 6 km from Jammu. The temples are Ranbireshwar Temple, Peer Khoh Cave Temple, Parmandal Temple Complex, Gauri Kund Temple, Shiva Temple, Shudh Mahadev Temple.

Patnitop

Patnitop Situated close to the Vaishno Devi Temple, Patnitop is a busy hill station and a great place to cherish the mother nature, which enjoys a full bloom all the time. It is an enchanting plateau at a height of 2,024m with pristine beauty hidden in all the corners. The meadow here is surrounded with lush pines and dense woods. Here, we can say that tracks lead to pockets where the calm prevails and the time stands still.

  1. By Rail - The major Railhead of J & K is at Jammu Tawi. It connects with the major towns and cities of the country.
  2. By air- There are a total of three major airports located at Jammu, Srinagar, and Ladakh which connects it with Delhi and other cities.
  3. By Road- One can go to Jammu via National Highway 1A, which goes from Punjab and runs through the entire city and connects it with the rest of the state. Also,there are several bus services connecting the big cities and towns of north India with J & K and also vice versa.
