Located on the foothill of Shevaroy Hills of the Eastern Ghats, Yercaud is one of the most popular hill station of Tamil Nadu. The region of this beautiful hill town is known as Shevaroy Hills, which is located at an altitude of 1515 metres. Often known as the Jewel of the South Yercaud, Yercaud is very rich in its flora and fauna. The town is renowned for coffee plantations along with other fruits as well such as oranges, bananas, pears and jackfruit. Apart from fruits and coffee this amazing hill station is also popular for various spice plantation as well such as black pepper and cardamom. Itinerary
Day 01: Chennai – Yercaud (By Road- 365.1 kms/6hrs 56mints)
Early morning, drive to Yercaud. Upon arrival at Yercaud, check into your pre-booked hotel. Rest day is free at leisure, enjoy the amazing surroundings of this beautiful hill town.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Yercaud
Today after breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Yercaud including Botanical garden, Emerald lake, Kiliyur falls, Pagoda point, Lady's Seat, Anna Park, Shevaroy temple, Arthur's seat, Silk farm, Rose Garden, Bears cave & Bears Hill etc.
Evening return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: Yercaud – Chennai (By Road- 365.1 kms/6hrs 56mints)
Today is the last day of the tour. After breakfast, drive back to Chennai. On arrival in Chennai transfer to advised location or Airport.
