Overview

‘Amazing West Bengal Food Tour’ Is well designed itinerary, which gives you the chance to explore the major attractions of West Bengal, which is renowned for its significant architecture, culture and traditions. During this tour you will explore.  Kolkata formerly known as Calcutta is the capital of West Bengal and is located on the bank of the Hooghly River. Kolkata being one of the metropolitan cities of India is a home to different cultures, religions, styles where its population has been happily amalgamated.  You will also explore Mayapur, which is located in the district of Nadia which is famous for ISKCON Temple which is visited by numerous international tourists who wish to engage with the culture of ISKCON Society. Apart from this you will also get the chance to explore Bishnupur which is situated in the Bankura District of West Bengal and is famous for its terracotta temples and Baluchari Sarees. The architecture of Bishnupur still depicts its splendid past. Bishnupur unique style of architecture is the most brilliant and detailed terracotta work in the entire Eastern India.  The duration of the tour is 05 nights and 06 days.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kolkata (By flight)

Upon arrival at Kolkata Airport/Railway Station, meet our representative, then proceed to the hotel. Check-in to your pre-reserved Hotel.  Kolkata formerly known as Calcutta is the capital of West Bengal and is located on the bank of the Hooghly River. Kolkata being one of the metropolitan cities of India is a home to different cultures, religions, styles where its population has been happily amalgamated. Rest day is free at leisure. In the evening attend the cooking demonstration to learn the authentic food of West Bengal. Have traditional dinner.

Day 02: Kolkata Sightseeing

After Breakfast, proceed for Kolkata sightseeing tour with our Tour Representative to see the popular places such as Dakshineshwar Temple, Indian Museum, Marble Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Victoria memorial, Eden Gardens, Howrah Bridge and Hoogli River. At the end of the tour, enjoy the local food of the region. After sightseeing, return back to your Hotel and relax. Have dinner.

Day 03: Kolkata – Mayapur (By Road-150 Kilometres)

Check-out from the Hotel after your Breakfast and proceed to Mayapur, the headquarters of ISKCON Society. Mayapur is regarded as one of major Spiritual Tourist destination with more than million visitors visiting Mayapur annually. Mayapur is a spiritual city’s which is possessed by the ambiance of the surroundings for nature lovers and adorned with spectacular temple structures.

Upon your arrival in Mayapur, check-in at your pre-reserved Hotel and relax.  After freshen-up proceed for Mayapur sightseeing tour with our Tour Representative to see popular places such as ISKCON Temple (Famous for its glorious mystical vision), Srila Prabhupada Mandir and Goshala. At the end of the Tour enjoy the authentic local foods of the region. Then, back to your Hotel and relax.  Evening free for Leisure. Have dinner.

Day 04: Mayapur – Bishnupur (By Road-175 Kilometres)

Check-out from the Hotel after your Breakfast and proceed to Bishnupur which is situated in the Bankura District of West Bengal and is famous for its terracotta temples and Baluchari Sarees. The architecture of Bishnupur still depicts its splendid past. Bishnupur unique style of architecture is the most brilliant and detailed terracotta work in the entire Eastern India.  

Upon your arrival in Bishnupur, check-in at your pre-reserved Hotel and relax. After freshen-up, proceed for Bishnupur sightseeing tour with our Tour Representative to see the popular places such as JorBangla Temple, Rasmancha, Madanmohan Temple and Local Market for Handicraft arts. At the end of the Tour, back to your Hotel and relax. Evening free for Leisure. Have dinner.

Day 05: Bishnupur

After Breakfast, proceed for Bishnupur Temple tour with our Tour Representative to see a unique form of architecture which till date depicts the rich history of Bishnupur which had been ruled by many Hindu Rajas of the Malla Dynasty.  Most of the temples depict the story of Radha – Krishna (Hindu God). The temples of Bishnupur are made up of terracotta, bricks, and features like the curved “Bangla” roof and combined with the Muslim domes.  Some of the popular temples are Pancha Ratna Temple, Shyamrai Temple and Radha-Shyam Temple.  At the end of the Tour, back to your Hotel and relax.Evening free for Leisure. Have dinner and enjoy the authentic traditional foods of the region.

Day 06: Bishnupur – Kolkata (By Road-160 Kilometres) Departure (By flight)

Today is the last day of the tour. After breakfast, check-out from the Hotel and proceed to Kolkata. Upon your arrival at Kolkata, transfer to Kolkata Airport/Railway Station for you for your onward journey to your destination along with memorable moments of the trip in your heart.
