Overview
The city of thousand temples, Kanchipuram is one of the seven sacred cities of Hindus, located in Tamil Nadu state of India. Often known Kanchi, during 2nd century BC, it was the capital of the early Cholas. During 1st and 5th centuries it was the religious hub of advanced education for Jainism and Buddhism. ‘Short Escape to Kanchipuram’ will give you the chance to visit the major temples of Kanchipuram such as Ekambareswarar Temple, Kailasanathar Temple, Vaikunta Perumal Temple, Varadaraja Temple, Kamakshi Amman Temple and Lord Subramanya Temple at Tiruttani. Itinerary
Day 01: Chennai – Kanchipuram (By Road- 75.2 kms/ 2.2hrs drive)
Upon arrival at Chennai airport/railway station, meet our representative. Then drive to Kanchipuram. On arrival at Kanchipuram, check into the hotel. After freshen up time for relaxation.
Post lunch, proceed for half day city tour of Kanchipuram including Ekambareswarar Temple, Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary etc. After visit return back to the hotel.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Kanchipuram
Today after breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Kanchipuram which will including Kailasanatha Temple, Vaikunta Perumal Temple, Varadaraja, Kamakshi Amman, Lord Subramanya Temple at Tiruttani: .
Evening return back to the hotel at Kanchipuram for overnight stay.
Day 03: Kanchipuram – Chennai (By Road- 75.2 kms/ 2.2hrs drive)
Today is the last day of town. After breakfast drive back to Chennai airport/station for your onward destinations.
